Friday Free-For-All

**I have been busy this week with Fall and Christmas soap production. We take a look at last years sales and try to project what this years sales will be and manufacture soap accordingly. In a perfect world we come out even and sell out of the above products as the season ends. In a not so perfect world we run out of seasonal products before the buying season ends or worst case….we have tons left over! Because cp (cold process) soap takes 3-4 weeks to cure we tend to focus on this medium first as the other products can be made on demand. Within the next few weeks we will be adding two new soap scents to the Season’s Greetings collection…both are To Die For!

**Here is a nifty interactive Self Assessment test that you can take to figure out if you have the H1N1 flu!
Thanks Microsoft!

**I found an article the other day on Internet Addiction and found it an interesting read. Just how long could YOU go without checking YOUR email??

**I’m so excited and I’m going to assume only ‘bird people’ will understand!

We have three finch species….Zebra, Society and Lady Gouldians.

The Societies have four babies that just fledged about a week or so ago. Two of them are the dark brown with white and two of them are the light tan/fawn color. We won’t know til they start singing (or not) whether they are male or female as only the males sing. Because I like the tan/fawn color best I’m seriously thinking of keeping them for myself!

Our Lady Gouldian babies are now 5 months old and are completely in to their adult colors. I had them listed (we have three, 2 males, 1 female) on Craigslist for sale when a local breeder contacted me.

She wants to trade one of our male yellow head/white breast/green back for one of her female red head/yellow body. I have never had a red head/yellow body Gouldian so I jumped at the chance! I’ve decided to keep the other male yellow head/purple breast/green back and see if he will mate up with the new female.

The trade will take place over the weekend and I will try to take a video of the birds so you can see just how beautiful they are!

We will have the one female Lady Gouldian for sale at $75.00 if any one local is interested!

**Busy weekend ahead (again!). It’s supposed to start getting cold here at night now so hubs and I need to finish stacking firewood before the rains come on Monday. We have the bird exchange tomorrow and I need to take the granddaughters to the local Halloween Store to shop for costumes! I’m even thinking of making a scrumptious Pumpkin Roll over the weekend….If I can find the recipe that is!
