Boy…when it rains it pours KWIM?????

Today…no Friday Free-for-All as what I have posted below sort of overshadows any fun stuff!

We have had our current website (zencart) for many years and have only needed it tinkered with here and there…nothing major.

This all changed last night when I got a message from our website host!

On August 30, 2009 they are upgrading ALL of their servers to MySQL 5.0 which means our websites (retail, wholesale, dropship) will NOT work unless we upgrade.

This is the FIRST time we have had to have any major revamping of our website or blog done and frankly it makes me a tad nervous. I have complete confidence in the people I have working behind the scenes but as my luck usually goes…what will go wrong….does!

Here is the important part:

Our RETAIL site is being worked as soon as this weekend and because it is relatively updated as it is I don’t expect any real problem or glitches (keeping my fingers crossed!).

Our BLOG needs minor work and again is being worked on this weekend, hopefully without any issues.

The WHOLESALE site is severely outdated and needs a MAJOR overhaul. I fully expect this portion to take time and have glitches as we are going from one format to another.

If you are a WHOLESALE client and find that our wholesale site is not working for you please contact us at 425.672.8908 or wholesale(at)countrymeadowltd(dot)com. We will manually process your order.

And last but not least…our DROPSHIP site.
Our business model called for us to continue dropshipping until December 20, 2009. Due to the server being upgraded the current dropship website will not be in working order as it is a really, really old version.

I regret to say that we have made the financial decision to not spend the money necessary to get the dropship site in working order only to shut it down come December.

***The DROPSHIP website will be deactivated and deleted in the next few days.***

I appologize that we cannot continue dropshipping until December but this entire server upgrade caught us totaly off-guard and now we are scrambling as it is to get the retail and wholesale site as well as our blog updated without any major glitches!
