Green Edmonds Festival Report…
Saturday was a long and hot day!
First thing in the am I had a hard time trying to decide…..shorts or jeans! Since Edmonds is down by the water and we have had several days of morning fog and cool temps. I opted for the jeans…..Bad Decision! The fog burned off quickly and the heat was on. Even though we were under a canopy we had shade only half of the time. Lucky for me (since I am blond and fair skinned) about the only thing that got sunburned was the top of my head!
This was Edmonds’ first green festival and I think it went very well. People were eager to learn more on how to live ‘green’ and reduce their impact on the planet. Word has it that it will be twice as big next year!
We did not have products available on-site for purchase but instead used this opportunity to hand out brochures and to educate people on buying recyclable and sustainable body products.
As a member of Sostane our booth consisted of fellow Sostane sisters.
I was delighted to finally meet in person the creator of Sostane, Kaytlyn Sanders (owner of Beneficial Design). Also present was Jessica Scott (also works for Beneficial Design).
Amy Woidtke of EcoKind Design was also there sharing the booth. Amy and Star Morris worked on our total rebranding (which isn’t entirely finished yet!) but Amy has since changed her business focus and now concentrates on being a green interior decorator and consultant!
Our booth was set up very nice thanks to Kaytlyn and Jessica!
Stay tuned for more blog posts this week regarding other fellow Sostane sisters and two very special people that I was again FINALLY able to meet in person!
