All tea comes from the ‘Camellia Sinensis’, an evergreen shrub that may grow up to 60′ in the wild. There are over 3,000 varieties of tea, each with its own specific characteristics.Tea is harvested after each flush (the sprouting of the top two leaves and bud) and processed into any of the four types of tea: black, green, oolong and white.
Black tea is withered, fully oxidized and dried and yields a hearty, amber colored tea.
Green tea skips the oxidizing step and is simply withered and dried. It has a more delicate taste and is pale green/gold in color.
Oolong tea is withered, partially oxidized and dried. Oolong is a cross between black and green tea.
White tea is the least processed and the most expensive. A rare tea from China, white tea is not oxidized or rolled but simply withered and dried by steaming.
The main chemical substances in tea are essential oils, cafeine and polyphenols. The essential oils give the tea aroma, the caffeine stimulates the central nervous system and the polyphenols account for the antioxidant and antidisease properties.
We have created three specific tea blends that are complimentary to each other. Even if you are not a tea drinker you just might find yourself in love with our tea products!

For a special treat try this tea recipe:
- 2 bags Green Tea
- 1 1/2 c. Water
- 1 c. Honey
- 1 c. Orange Juice
- 1/2 c. fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 c. fresh Fruit, crushed
- 1 pint Ginger Ale
Make tea per tea bag instructions and let cool. Blend all ingredients except ginger ale.
Just before serving add ginger ale and crushed ice.
**White Tea & Ginger
Warm and full bodied with notes of lemon, an exotic spice blend rounded out with a hint of jasmine.
The production of white tea is very different to green tea and is the most expensive of the teas.
The tea leaves must show a very light green almost gray white color and be covered with velvet peach fuzz down. The perfect specimen is a leaf or two being wrapped around a newly developing shoot. These shoots are picked and separated from the rest of the leaf and are naturally withered until dried.
