Our Complexion Toner received a new face lift…..the new label is simple yet effective…just like the toner itself!

Naturally made with patchouli hydrosol, witch hazel, lavender and tea tree essential oils our Complexion Toner has been effective in helping clear up blemished skin in our product testers.

The skin maintains an average ph of 5.5 and is achieved by the body’s own acidic secretions such as perspiration, sebum and various hormones. This acidic layer is what is known as the acid mantle. It helps protect the skin against infection, irritation and dehydration as well as the negative impact of the environment.

Sebum is an oily secretion produced by sebaceous glands, tiny ducts adjacent to hair follicles. Sebum is secreted into the follicle then is spread over the hair and skin. The main role of sebum is to waterproof the skin and hair. Both excess sebum and lack of are undesirable. Excess sebum is associated with oily skin and acne and is common in adolescents. Lack of sebum which is common in middle and mature skin leads to skin dryness and wrinkle formation.

Using a facial toner is good for the overall health of your skin and is used to remove dead skin cells, dirt, oil or any residue left over from using cleansers. Facial toners soothe, nourish, rejuvenate and refresh your skin by tightening pores, which reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while hydrating giving your face a healthy glow and balancing the skins ph level.
